I started my career at Royal Bank of Scotland in Manchester, UK. I was lucky to learn from a great team of learning professionals, and it was while working here that I completed the CIPD certificate in L&D. I designed and delivered courses, and was soon the department lead for change management projects and deputy department leader. I handled the entire learning cycle, from needs analysis to evaluation. I moved to Capita to concentrate more on learning design. I was placed on assignment at Lloyds Banking Group to work on a large-scale pensions legislation changes project, and an e-learning design project to help users of a new mobile banking app.

I took a career break after Capita to travel, but while in the Philippines I took on a voluntary consultancy role with the NGO All Hands (now All Hands and Hearts). The CEO asked me to investigate if a learning programme could help improve a dip in staff performance. This took me to Nepal to complete a learning needs analysis with staff on the ground helping to rebuild following a natural disaster.

After my career break and travelling I am now based in Helsinki. I work at Acolad group, designing learning experiences for clients such as Kemira, ABB, and Metso Outotec.
